You’ll also leave with honest guidance for home care, never a hard sell.

Come as you are — makeup is fine, I’ll cleanse thoroughly. A few things do help your results:

• Pause retinoids and strong exfoliating acids 48–72 hours before your appointment
• Avoid significant sun exposure or tanning the week before
• Let me know about any new medications, allergies, or skin changes

My private studio suite is inside Phenix Salon Suites at 611 Washington Blvd, Suite 175, in the Newport neighborhood of Jersey City — one PATH stop from Manhattan, and a short walk from the Newport PATH station and the ferry. Street parking and nearby garages are available in Newport.

I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule, so the appointment time can be offered to another client. For ongoing results, every four to six weeks — aligned with your skin’s natural renewal cycle. If you’re targeting a specific concern like acne or hyperpigmentation, we may start with more frequent visits, then move to maintenance. A single treatment before a big event still delivers a visible glow.

Yes — acne is one of my specialties. Depending on your skin, that may mean the Acne Lift enzyme treatment, the Ultimate Extraction Facial, the Teen Clear Skin Facial, or the Purifying Back Treatment for body breakouts. We’ll also build a realistic home-care routine, because consistency between appointments is where acne results are won.

Yes — I offer dedicated pregnancy-safe protocols, including The Expecting Glow Facial and gentle lactic-acid–based exfoliation. These are free from retinoids, salicylic acid, and essential oils, and safe for all trimesters and nursing mothers. Always mention your pregnancy when booking so I can plan your treatment accordingly.

Absolutely. The Gentleman’s Facial addresses razor irritation, ingrown hairs, and congestion, and the Teen Clear Skin Facial is a judgment-free treatment for hormonal skin that includes skincare education — parent consultations are always welcome.

Yes. I select enzymes, acids, and treatment strengths appropriate for the full range of Fitzpatrick skin tones, with particular care around hyperpigmentation-prone skin. This is central to how I customize — the right professional treatment should never put your skin tone at risk.

Most treatments, including the HydroDiamond™ Facial, have no downtime — you can return to your day immediately, and makeup can go on the next morning. Stronger enzyme and exfoliation treatments may cause light flaking for a few days, which I’ll always discuss with you beforehand.

Occasionally, yes — when a treatment accelerates cell turnover, congestion that was already forming beneath the surface can appear sooner. This is temporary, typically resolving within a week or two, and it’s a sign the treatment is working. I’ll tell you honestly which treatments carry this possibility for your skin.
